JOURS VINGT-TROIS: Talk about a moment when you got annoyed with a married friend, a person in a relationship, or a person with kids

Yeah, I remember S was the one that bore the brunt of my annoyance with coupling friends. At the time I decided to cut S off, we were so close and spoke about anything but she got into a relationship and things changed.

Not like I was jealous but it just made me wonder if being in a relationship meant alienating friends – that wasn’t the first time and I just told myself it was better to just give her space, and I made sure to detach myself for a while; the same thing happened with A, I just felt alone – the time we used to have just became devoted to the significant other. There’s no way one won’t feel left out and because we were close, it was a tad bit difficult to not have anyone to talk to.

Since then I’ve adjusted and I’m the one who gives the breathing space now. Once any of my friends get married or get into a new relationship, I just redress and give a wide berth to them to make it easier. The funny thing is they come back to ask why you are not as close as you used to be, when the novelty has worn out and you just grow weak. Lol. These things happen.

Stay in God, peace, love, bisou bisou
