Isaiah 10:27 NKJV
It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
Cash crops as we know them are crops we wait several years to harvest as opposed to all the annual, biennial etc. In waiting, we know that once harvested, will fetch a lot of financial independence, so we are rest assured.
You see Seed (plant), Time (waiting period) and Harvest (reap). Same goes for God, this principle is one of the most profound that ever existed. On my second day journey, I had the privilege of going through the book of Isaiah and most of what I learnt had to do with this principle and also the fact that God wants us to need Him.
How much value we place on God determines how much we need Him. It is easier most times to be moved more by what we want to do for God than what He wants us to do for Him e.g “I love to sing so let me join the choir” as opposed to “go and render your services in the hospital for free”
Isaiah 9.6-7: We cannot run our lives, none of us are intelligent enough to know what’s best for us, that’s why we need to let Jesus governed or lives the way He knows beat and ask Him to intervene and lovingly guide us. The more God’s government increases in my life, the more peace because He now directs my thoughts, actions, decisions, and conversations – (Joyce Meyer Study Bible).
Isaiah 14:27 NKJV
For the Lord of hosts has purposed, And who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, And who will turn it back?”
God is a God of purpose and most times until we discover our purpose, we feel empty and useless. We also need to do things right on purpose, make healthy decisions, give on purpose and love on purpose not because of a feeling we have based on circumstances.
The book of Isaiah may seem tedious but it has a lot to offer because it highlights God’s constant calling for us to rely only on Him and not to others for our strength. It is sometimes difficult to be patient but I’ve learnt that things come easy for me when I do not struggle or worry. So I’ve learnt to put worry aside and live a struggle free life.
Isaiah 11:2 NKJV
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord .
