As I nestled my head gently on the car door,
I couldn’t help but smile as the wind tickled my ears
And played sweet soothing music
I was so content and all was well with the world
The peace pasted firmly against my features, serenity fiddled with my heart
I was home, there was no contest to that
No swayed misconception of any kind
I had come to understand my roots and in turned it embraced me
Speaking words of wisdom, telling me I had come for answers in the right place
I was transfixed, glued to joy who danced around me
Hope was just at arm’s length
I couldn’t have asked for a better ovation than I had received
My heart screamed, my pulse chorused and my nerves sang
I was home
Drained to my heart’s content, I embraced a foetal position
And dreamt of dancing stars
